McAuliffe visits Natural Bridge
Gov. Terry McAuliffe expressed his support for the creation of a Natural Bridge state park at a ceremony on May 12. The governor recognized and thanked both the old and new owners of the Natural Bridge property for working out a way to turn the land over to the public.
All roads lead to a state park
Its former owner, its new owner and officials from Virginia’s park system agree that Natural Bridge and adjacent land will be reworked into a state park over the next few years. But the current managers of the property and the state have a lot of steps to go through before that goal becomes a reality.
