A more natural bridge

Under ownership of the Virginia Conservation Legacy Fund, Natural Bridge is adopting a comprehensive recycling program for the first time.The Virginia Conservation Legacy Fund is bringing a first-of-its-kind program to Natural Bridge. Environmental Programs Specialist Carly Pleines is spearheading a comprehensive recycling plan. That could place the attraction among a select group of environmentally conscious Virginia tourist attractions.

Natural Bridge’s  combination of ecological rarities, critical location and challenges posed by environmental threats make it a unique natural area. Its new management, the Virginia Conservation Legacy Fund, state officials and conservationists are working to protect the bridge’s ecosystem as it becomes a state park.
